SampleTank 3 FREE starts with an extraordinary concert grand piano and will add more sounds each week until all instrument categories are represented. Once you download SampleTank 3 FREE and install it, you need to authorize it, which is done using a license key that you get from your IK Multimedia User Area, where for reference if you do not already have an IK Multimedia User Account, then you need to create one, which also is free. You can copy the license key (a.k.a., "serial number") from your IK Multimedia User Area and then paste it to the IK Multimedia Authorizer application that is used to authorize SampleTank FREE and other IK Multimedia applications, if you have any.
It works smoothly on the Mac, which is the platform I use here in the sound isolation studio for digital music production, where at present I am running Mac OS X 10.9.4 (Mavericks) running a 2.8-GHz 8-core Mac Pro (Early 2008) with 20GB of system memory, which is fabulous.
